Create a Project

Once you've created a Studio the very first thing you'll be required to do is to add a Project. Projects are basically containers for your Collections but they can contain also individual items that don't belong to any collections. In this case the Project will behave as a Collection and will have similar features. The most used case for a Project is to behave as a Brand or personal IP that holds and manages all your Collections. This can be a sneakers brand, a game, an artist name, etc.

Once you're on the Create Project page start filling up all the required items. This information will be saved as a draft until your very first mint, after which some details of the project will get locked forever as they need to be included in the minting process.

What you will notice lower on this page is that the Project has its own License and Royalty settings. This is for covering individual items that don't belong to a collection. This can be a one time artwork, like a painting, which you might not want to include in a collection but to be tied directly to the Project name as the creator.

Once finished, click the "Create Project" button and it will show up on your Studio Dashboard. Next you'll be able to create Collections or Individual Items.

Some information might not show up publicly on the very first version of Foton, but we intend to have public pages also for projects to display them in a similar fashion as the collections.
